Crane Equipment Guide
Southeastern Crane recently expanded into the Charleston, SC, area with the opening of a branch office in Ladson, approximately 12 miles west of the city.
As the Grove distributor for the state, Southeastern Crane established the store to fulfill a requirement for the South Carolina dealership.
Vice President and General Manager Dallas Johnson noted that Southeastern Crane will lease the facility until a permanent location is determined.
"This property should serve us well for the next couple of years, until we are able to purchase land and build our own facility," Johnson said. "We have targeted the Low Country area for its centralized location on the coast between North Carolina and Georgia, where the greatest growth is taking place."
The Ladson facility will be staffed by a salesman, a parts manager, a secretary and three service technicians.
Mike Davis, manager of the Charlotte, NC, branch oversees all operations in the Carolinas territory.
Southeastern Crane, a division or Ring Power Corp., represents Manitowoc in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina and the Caribbean; National in Florida; Grove in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and the Bahamas; Manitex in Florida, Georgia and North and South Carolina; Broderson in North Carolina; and Potain in Florida and South Carolina.
Headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, Southeastern Crane serves the Southeastern United States and the Caribbean Basin with branch facilities located in Tampa and Pompano Beach, FL; Charlotte, NC; Charleston, SC; and Atlanta.
The new Ladson facility is located at 9871 U.S. Highway 78.
