Link-Belt Cranes will have the 85-ton (80-mt) 85|RT, its newest rough terrain crane on display at its booth in the Festival Grounds (F-9213) at ConExpo-Con/AGG 2023. New to Link-Belt customers at the show will be Link-Belt's new Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) integrated into the 85|RT. Hurricane Ian struck Florida in late September. One of its enduring images was the collapsed Sanibel Causeway, which links Sanibel Island to Punta Rassa near Fort Myers on the mainland. Just a few broken sections of roadway remained, breaking the surface of San Carlos Bay. Without the 3-mi. causeway, the island and its residents were cut off from access to relief supplies. Manitowoc Launches Grove GRT8100-1 Rough-Terrain Crane →

Manitowoc used its attendance at bauma 2022 to launch its latest rough-terrain crane: the Grove GRT8100-1. This upgrade of the hugely popular GRT8100 will be available from 2023 and offers a series of improvements over the original GRT8100. Many of the enhancements stem from a new chassis that shares commonality with the chassis from the proven 132 ton capacity GRT8120. Grove is offering a new heavy-duty jib extension for the Grove GRT9165 rough-terrain crane that increases the 165 ton crane's utilization abilities. The jib is 12.5 ft. long and designed with two sheaves, for up to four parts of line, and is hydraulically offsettable from 0 to 50 degrees. The All Family of Companies is expanding its fleet of rough-terrain (RT) cranes with a new 18-unit package from Grove that covers weight classes from 55-ton capacity up to 165-tons. The purchase includes four 165-ton GRT9165, three 80-ton GRT8080, five 70-ton RT770 and six 55-ton GRT655L. Also included are two 40-ton TMS540 hydraulic truck cranes, bringing the full order to 20 total units.
