A fall weekend in downtown Columbus, Ohio, looked like an all-terrain crane takeover as two Liebherr LTM 1450 ATs were hard at work on two separate projects on the same street. Both cranes were provided by ALL Crane Rental Corp. , a member of the ALL Family of Companies. The first job was swapping out a series of transformers from the 15th floor of a high-rise. DICA has released a new resource on its website to help users better assess and understand ultimate soil strengths and allowable ground bearing pressures. Before setting up a crane or other equipment with outriggers, it's essential to evaluate the ground conditions to properly position the equipment and to use appropriate pads (area, strength and stiffness) to keep the equipment upright. Midwest lifting company, Stevenson Crane, Rigging and Heavy Haul continue to rebuild Chicago's industrial areas with their expansive fleet and specialized support equipment. Utilizing Liebherr's LTM 1300-6.3 mobile crane, Stevenson supported the rebuild of the Server Farm Data Center based out of Chicago, Ill. Two Grove All-Terrain Cranes Team Up to Repair Historic Italian Church →

Italian crane rental and transport company Santoni Autogrù called on two of its high-performing all-terrain cranes to help repair a local church: a Grove GMK4100L-2 and Grove GMK4100L-1. Located in Pinzolo, Italy, the San Lorenzo church's 100 kg cross was struck by lightning and detached from the building's bell tower last year. The bell tower, built between 1865 and 1867, reaches 236 ft., and is the tallest bell tower in the Trentino-Alto Adige region.  Click for more...

Large Fleet of Potain Luffing Jib Cranes Selected for Innovative Skyscraper in Bangkok →

Thai contractor Thai Obayashi has 11 Potain tower cranes working on Cloud 11, a mixed-use building project in Bangkok. The building will be Asia's largest hub for content creators and is being developed by property developer MQDC. The large-scale, mixed-use project has already garnered four international design awards and will be home to Thailand's first YOTEL hotel.
