ALL Crane First to Get New Liebherr Rough Terrain Crane →
The newest rough terrain (RT) cranes from Liebherr are set to make their world debut in the field when the ALL Family of Companies takes delivery of the first five units through early next year. The Liebherr LRT 1130-2.1 boasts the strongest-in-class 140-ton capacity and the longest telescopic boom (197 ft.) of any two-axle RT in the world, according to the manufacturer. Real estate developer Filli Partner purchased a used Potain MD 305 B for work on its City Plaza development, a residential project under construction in central Ungheni. Building work is set to last two years, with the project's opening scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. Tower Crane Numbers Across North America Holding Their Own →
The number of cranes at work during the second half of this year has decreased approximately 10 percent. That decline is attributed to rising interest rates and the fact that projects are nearing completion. Of the major cities surveyed, six saw drops of 20 percent while in two areas the number of rigs at work went up. Six other cities maintained their numbers. A fall weekend in downtown Columbus, Ohio, looked like an all-terrain crane takeover as two Liebherr LTM 1450 ATs were hard at work on two separate projects on the same street. Both cranes were provided by ALL Crane Rental Corp. , a member of the ALL Family of Companies. The first job was swapping out a series of transformers from the 15th floor of a high-rise. Midwest lifting company, Stevenson Crane, Rigging and Heavy Haul continue to rebuild Chicago's industrial areas with their expansive fleet and specialized support equipment. Utilizing Liebherr's LTM 1300-6.3 mobile crane, Stevenson supported the rebuild of the Server Farm Data Center based out of Chicago, Ill. This project required a replacement upgrade of all of the cooling systems including demolition of old structures, new piping, new steel platforms to support added weight, and a variety of updated equipment to better serve the data center.
