ALL Adds 16 New Link-Belt Cranes →

The ALL Family of Companies is getting a major infusion of new Link-Belt cranes, with a total of 16 new units slated for delivery in the coming months. The package includes four 60-ton HTC-8660 truck cranes; four 50-ton TCC-500 telecrawlers; four 80-ton TCC-800 telecrawlers; one 140-ton TCC-1400 telecrawler; one 100-ton 100 RT rough-terrain crane; and two 200-ton 248-HSL lattice boom crawlers. Hydraulic Fluid Leaks, Poor Ground Conditions Contribute to Crane Outrigger Failure →

The two biggest factors that contribute to crane failures are fluid leakage in the outrigger hydraulic cylinder and ground conditions, or the supporting structure for the outrigger pads. Ensuring that your crane is operating on firm, level and drained ground per OSHA's Cranes & Derricks in Construction rule, starts with a proper inspection of the crane and the job site. To upgrade the processing line at a Chicago-area metals-handling plant, a truss bridge supporting a conveyor needed to be removed to make way for its eventual replacement. The conveyor feeds a kiln where material is heated to remove impurities. Brandenburg Industrial Services was in charge of demolition, contracting with Dearborn Engineers & Constructors to perform site analysis and Central Contractors Service, a member of the ALL Family of Companies, to provide cranes for the bridge removal. A 37.5-ton capacity mill-duty coil grab has been installed beneath the hook of a 40-ton capacity overhead crane at a Monarch Steel Company Inc. facility in Decatur, Ala. The coil grab was manufactured by The Caldwell Group, a Rockford, Illinois-based company that specializes in both standard and custom lifting equipment. One could argue that the new Tadano GTC-2000 telescopic boom crawler crane anticipated a development: developed and built at Demag in Zweibrücken, it made its concept debut at bauma 2019. Now that Demag is part of the Tadano Group, the crane was relaunched as the Tadano GTC-2000 at ConExpo 2020.
