Grove TMS500-2 Assists Helicopter to Install Antenna on Radio Tower in Maryland →

Digging & Rigging, a crane and rigging company based out of Mount Airy, Md., deployed a Grove TMS500-2 truck crane to assist a helicopter with the installation of a new radio tower in Clear Spring, Md. The helicopter air-lifted the 5-ton tower antenna while the truck crane helped tail it until it was in a complete vertical position. New Signs Placed On High-Bay Warehouse at Dinglerstrasse →

The name change from "Terex Demag" to "Tadano Demag" took visible form on September 7th. More specifically, the signage on the high-bay warehouse at Dinglerstraße was replaced and all instances of the "Terex" logo were changed to "Tadano", and all with a Demag crane — as befits the company, of course. It was pretty much forgettable work for the Demag crane, at least in terms of the load's weight — after all, the five-axle unit only had to deal with a man basket, two people in it, and the plastic signs, all coming up to a total of 441 lbs.  Click for more...


Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 11000 Between Ironman and Surfers in Hawaii →

A Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane from the fleet of Buckner HeavyLift Cranes is currently in use in Hawaii. New Vestas wind turbines with a hub height of 344 ft. (105 m) have been under construction there for more than three months. DC Crane Service of West Palm Beach, Fla., has been a valued Link-Belt customer for 26 years. The company's founders, Dan Connor and his wife, Janet, have achieved great success renting their six 110-ton capacity 218 series of cranes with luffing attachments all over southern Florida, including a 2019 110-ton (99.8-t) 218 HSL.
