Grove Launches GMK4070L at bauma 2022 →

To strengthen its four-axle all-terrain crane line-up, Manitowoc unveiled its Grove GMK4070L at bauma 2022 in Munich, Germany. The 77 ton GMK4070L boasts the strongest load charts and the longest boom in its class at 197 ft. At its full 197 ft., the crane lifts an impressive 4.8 ton, while at 161 ft. owners can pick loads of up to 9.1 ton. Canadian Company R&D Crane Brings Together Four Cranes to Deliver Major Toronto Bridge →

Canada's Cherubini Bridges and Structures has completed work on the Four Signature Bridges contract for Toronto's Port Lands project. The job wrapped up in style with the company successfully orchestrating a complex four-crane pick to get the final 492 ton segment of the bridge sent up the St. Lawrence River by barge. The lift of the 73 ft.-wide, 187 ft.-long Cherry Street North Bridge was performed by R&D Crane which — like the fabricator — is a division of Cherubini Group.  Click for more...


Merkel Autokrane Selects Pair of Grove Cranes for Complex Tandem Lift →

German crane services company Merkel Autokrane selected two of its 275.5 ton Grove all-terrain cranes for a challenging tandem lift in the Bamberg area of Lower Franconia. The GMK5250XL-1 and GMK5250L were called in to build a multi-story parking lot for one of the world's largest online retailers of musical instruments. Nordic Crane Buys Five Grove Five-Axle Cranes →

Scandinavian rental company Nordic Crane has taken delivery of five new Grove all-terrain cranes — all five-axle units — to supplement its regional fleet. Four are based at the company's Norwegian operations, while one is at the company's Swedish facility. There are two 165 ton capacity GMK5150L-1 cranes and three 275 ton capacity GMK5250XL-1 cranes. Taiwanese crane rental company Huixiang Crane Lifting has purchased its first Grove crane, adding a GMK5250XL-1 to its growing fleet. The powerful 5-axle all-terrain crane was unveiled at bauma 2019 in Germany and has been added to rental fleets across the world ever since. The new arrival becomes the largest machine in Huixiang Crane Lifting's rental fleet of six units. Mobile crane manufacturer Tadano is betting on being on the cutting edge of things, and so the company recently decided to upgrade more than just the name of its four-axle and five-axle cranes in the 110 to 130 ton class.
