For complex, high-altitude construction projects, contractor STGO regularly turns to Potain and its local dealer Valente Grue Assistance (VGA). One such project is the renewal of the "3S Jandri Express" cable car line in the ski resort of Les Deux Alpes. STGO is building two cable car stations at an altitude of 8,530 ft., plus another one at 5,249 ft., as well as a garage for the gondolas. Lane's Crane Service of Moosic, Pa., received an interesting lifting challenge from beverage bottling company Joriki USA recently: erect four 37-ft. tall, 19,000 lb. tanks on the company's plant floor under a 41-ft. ceiling joist. Four Potain MCT 385 topless tower cranes have now almost completed their work constructing the tallest cable-stayed road bridge in India. The cranes were purchased for the project by Afcons, the main contractor for the bridge build which forms a crucial part of the Khopoli-Kusgaon Connector Project — more commonly known as the Pune-Mumbai Missing Link. A Grove GMK6400-1 is the latest fleet addition for crane rental company MSG Krandienst. It went to its first job — recovering a derailed train car — the day after arriving at its new home. Yannick Kempf is the MSG Krandienst operator on the new crane, and he was full of praise for it: "The controls are so intuitive on the GMK6400-1 that I was immediately able to operate it. It was great to be able to test the new addition on a job site the day after it arrived." Potain Cranes Chosen for Major New High-Speed Rail Link in UK →

The largest infrastructure project in Europe has called on Potain cranes to deliver essential lifting support to build the longest railway bridge in the UK. The cranes are all being supplied by UK construction and civil engineering company Sir Robert McAlpine, which is one of three infrastructure companies in the Align joint-venture building 13.4 mi. of the groundbreaking HS2 rail line.
