A Grove GMK5250XL-1 belonging to German lifting service provider Gräser-Eschbach has completed its final lifts on the reconstruction of the MHP Arena soccer stadium in Stuttgart, Germany. Home to Bundesliga team VfB Stuttgart, the stadium has been undergoing redevelopment since 2018, although the erection of temporary sections has allowed it to remain operational during this time. Gräser-Eschbach, based in Bad Schönborn, Germany, had previously used other cranes, but restrictions on this part of the project meant structural components had to be placed underneath the existing 98 ft.-high roof. In August, Atlanta mayor Andre Dickens announced a novel plan for tackling his city's homeless problem by repurposing converted shipping containers into temporary housing. Both cranes were provided by ALL Crane Rental Corp. , a member of the ALL Family of Companies. The first job was swapping out a series of transformers from the 15th floor of a high-rise. Italian crane rental and transport company Santoni Autogrù called on two of its high-performing all-terrain cranes to help repair a local church: a Grove GMK4100L-2 and Grove GMK4100L-1. Located in Pinzolo, Italy, the San Lorenzo church's 100 kg cross was struck by lightning and detached from the building's bell tower last year. A roadway servicing the flagship yard of ALL Erection & Crane Rental was the site of some crane work of its own, as one of ALL's massive all-terrain cranes helped install a temporary bridge at the site. The 40-acre yard is located in Independence, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland, and the Cuyahoga River runs through the site. The highway project to completely re-route and reimagine Indianapolis' I-65/I-70 North Split interchange is winding down. Central Rent-A-Crane, a member of the ALL Family of Companies, has completed its work setting bridge beams for the project. A portion of westbound I-70 was opened to vehicular traffic in early October. The original North Split was built nearly 50 years ago and became an infamous traffic tangle, earning the nickname "the spaghetti bowl."
