ALL Crane Adding Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 →

The ALL Family of Companies is beefing up its crawler crane offering in a big way with the purchase of a new Liebherr LR 1800-1.0. The high-tech heavyweight has an 880-ton capacity, 663 ft. of hoist height and a maximum radius of 498 ft. New Music Center in Cincinnati Built with Link-Belt 298 Series 2 →

General contractor Messer Construction of Cincinnati, Ohio, was awarded the contract for a new $27 million Andrew J. Brady ICON Music Center to be built in downtown Cincinnati. When completed, the music center will have an indoor capacity of 4,500 and outdoor seating for 8,000. Machine wear on cranes is a significant issue for those working in wind energy applications. The installation of turbines usually requires crawler cranes to travel hundreds of miles in the course of an assignment, which will result in proportional wear in their undercarriages. ALL Crane Adds Nine New Link-Belts →

The ALL Family of Companies is adding nine new Link-Belt cranes to its fleet. The purchase comes on the heels of a previous 16-unit Link-Belt package announced earlier in the year. This latest purchase includes six telecrawlers — two each of the 80-ton TCC-800, 140-ton TCC-1400, and 250-ton TCC-2500 — and three truck cranes: 60-ton HTC-8660, 75-ton HTC-8675, and 110-ton HTC-86110. On behalf of customer Enercon, crane service provider Sarens was scheduled to erect two wind turbines at the Bouwdokken wind farm close to the Dutch North Sea village of Vrouwenpolder. Link-Belt Cranes had the 300-ton (273-t) 348 Series 2 on display at ConExpo 2020. For the first time since introduction, Link-Belt displayed the new 348 Series 2 with its new luffing attachment configuration utilizing a conventional combination top. The new heavy-duty combination top boom section is built for conventional boom makeup or luffing boom configuration. Tadano Mantis Corporation exhibited the new GTC-1600 at ConExpo-Con/AGG 2020. The 160-ton model will expand the GTC product line to six machines. The new GTC-1600 (160 ton/145 t) boasts a 6-section, 42.8 to 200.1 ft. (13.1 to 61.0 m) hydraulic boom designed for flexibility – with higher, longer capabilities for lift work, while also enabling out-of-level and pick-and-carry work. SKV Crane & Rigging has added a Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 to its fleet of crawler cranes. The crane will soon be in the field on upcoming wind projects in Wyoming. "I feel the LR1800 was the best choice for the upcoming projects in our area," said Stephen Vinot, operations manager of SKV Crane and Rigging. "This is due to its easy mobilization and setup, its infield mobility without a derrick, lower ground bearing pressure and the flexibility to add a derrick and luffing jib for larger projects." SANY's SCA1000A and SCA2600A lattice boom crawler cranes will loom large over the legendary Las Vegas skyline as ConExpo 2020 rolls through town. Liebherr USA Co. Mobile and Crawler Cranes Announces Leadership Succession for the U.S. Market →

On April 1, 2020, Daniel Pitzer will change position and move to the Liebherr headquarters for mobile and crawler cranes in Ehingen, Germany, becoming CFO of the mobile and crawler crane division. His successor in charge of the USA market of the mobile and crawler cranes division is Pierre Bilgeri. After Pitzer was appointed as the new CFO at Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH, his successor to take on sales responsibility for the company's most important export market, the USA, was found within Liebherr.  Click for more...
