Tough lifts require tough machinery. This is why Russian crane service provider M-Kran decided to use its brand new Demag CC 8800-1 crawler crane to lift the heavy components for four coke drums. It all happened at the Kstovo oil refinery close to Nizhny Novgorod, 280 mi. to the east of Moscow, in February and March 2020. Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. of San Leandro, Calif., and Link-Belt Cranes announced a purchase agreement at ConExpo 2020 for a package of six Link-Belt telescopic crawler cranes to be delivered in 2020. The package includes 140-ton TCC-1400s and 250-ton TCC-2500s. SKV Crane & Rigging has added a Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 to its fleet of crawler cranes. The crane will soon be in the field on upcoming wind projects in Wyoming. "I feel the LR1800 was the best choice for the upcoming projects in our area," said Stephen Vinot, operations manager of SKV Crane and Rigging. "This is due to its easy mobilization and setup, its infield mobility without a derrick, lower ground bearing pressure and the flexibility to add a derrick and luffing jib for larger projects." SANY's SCA1000A and SCA2600A lattice boom crawler cranes will loom large over the legendary Las Vegas skyline as ConExpo 2020 rolls through town. An all-new 80-ton (75-t) Link-Belt TCC-800 telescopic crawler crane will debut at ConExpo 2020. The crane will begin field-testing early spring 2020, and first shipments scheduled in fourth quarter 2020. Its predecessor, the telecrawler TCC-750, has been a cornerstone of the telecrawler market since its initial debut in 2008. The TCC-800 comes with a new four-section 38 to 120 ft. Blakeslee, Arpaia, Chapman Inc. (BAC Inc) of Branford, Conn., was hired as subcontractor to complete 300 ft. (91.4 m) of elevated boardwalk at Silver Sands State Park in Milford, Conn. In order to build a 10 ft. (3.04 m) high, elevated trestle BAC Inc. rented a 75-ton (70-t) Link-Belt TCC-750 telescopic crawler crane from Wood's CRW Corp. Densification Inc., a Virginia-based company, chose the crane to help prepare residential building lots as part of a multimillion dollar project within a five diamond resort.
