Manitowoc has officially launched its biggest Grove Hydraulic Crawler (GHC) crane for North America, the new GHC140. Full Range of Manitowoc Services Displayed at bauma 2019 →
Manitowoc has released two apps that help crane owners on the job site. The first is the "Manitowoc Diagnostic Code App" that helps users diagnose technical issues with their cranes. In the past, when cranes had technical issues, Manitowoc customers had no way to interpret the diagnostic codes that would appear on the main display of the crane's cab. Specialized technicians would have to be called to the job site with proprietary equipment, and any time spent waiting affected the project schedule. Click for more...

Mammoet's crane services team in Louisiana recently completed the successful transport and lift of a 4,500 lb. Lunar Lander at the INFINITY Science Center in Mississippi. Utilizing a LTM 1250-5.1, the crew carefully lifted the 20 ft. Swiss crane service provider Interkran had already taken delivery of a Demag AC 100-4L, so its new Demag AC 300-6 is now the second all terrain crane from Zweibrücken to be added to its fleet. The crane was received by Interkran General Manager Tony Teixeira and handed over by Terex Cranes Senior Sales Manager of Germany, Austria and Switzerland Christian Kassner. The new medical office building, which will be located adjacent to an existing hospital, is the result of a partnership between the Grand Strand Medical Center and HCP Inc., a real estate investment trust. On Feb. 1, 2019, Lee Maynard became the new Tower Cranes Global Sales director at Terex Cranes. Maynard was previously the Terex Cranes director of Sales Europe & Russia in the Mobile Cranes business. In addition, he was also the general manager for the UK&I and will continue in this role, until a successor is found.
